Committee of the Whole

The Committee of the Whole is a standing committee of the Assembly that meets twice per month to review all ordinances of a non-financial nature, other items referred to the committee and to hear presentations and reports. The Committee also coordinates legislative strategy and priority requests with the Administration and prepares capital and programmatic legislative requests. This committee is chaired by the Deputy Presiding Officer and is composed of all members of the Assembly. 

Audit Committee

The Audit Committee is a standing committee of the Assembly that meets at the call of the chair at least three times per year with external auditors. This committee is composed of two Assemblymembers appointed by the Presiding Officer, the Mayor, one member of the public, and representatives from the Board of Education and Interior Gas Utility Board for the purpose of discussing the audit plan, monitoring progress, and to receive the final audit reports.

Assembly Road Service Area Committee

The Assembly Road Service Area Committee (ARSAC) is a standing committee of the Assembly that meets at the call of the chair. This committee is composed of two Assemblymembers appointed by the Presiding Officer, one representative from each of the six road service area districts and one non-voting member of the public for the purpose of making recommendations to the Assembly concerning road service area issues and establishing priorities and recommendations regarding the allocation of service area matching grant funds.

In-Person and Telephonic Testimony for the ARSAC

Once the agenda has been published, call the Borough Clerk's Office at 907-459-1401 by 4:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting to testify. Citizens may also sign up in person the evening of the meeting.

Regional Emergency Services Advisory Committee

The Regional Emergency Services Advisory Committee (RESAC) is a standing committee of the Assembly that meets at the call of the chair at least four times per year. This committee is composed of two Assemblymembers appointed by the Presiding Officer, seven public representatives, the Mayor and Director of Emergency Operations for the purpose of reviewing and monitoring the provision of fire, emergency medical, and other emergency services in the borough and make recommendations to the Assembly.
